Rare Set of six Edwardian Solid Silver Antique Liqueur cups. By Henry Clifford Davis 1910. Very fine and sought after set of six Edwardian Antique Liqueur cups/goblets. Made by Henry Clifford Davis 1910. Each goblet has a very ornate overall appearance with the sought after thistle top design, straight line stem leading down to a double tiered pedestal foot. To the inside there are traces of the original gold gilt remaining. Matching Hallmarks are as follows: Anchor for made in Birmingham, lion for .925 purity of solid silver, date letter L for 1910 and makers mark HCD for Henry Clifford Davis, who produced his silver from 1908-1960. Size: 85mm high, 39mm to the widest point. Combined weight of all six cups 131 gms . Condition: Very good, these are extremely delicate items and over time have had some rippling to the outer edge of a few of them, not too serious and can easily be put right. The bowls themselves are excellent condition and displays very well as you can see from the photos. These are very collectable and sought after liqueur goblets, as many items similar to these are damaged over time due to being so fragile. Becoming very hard to find complete sets of six. Nice Edwardian period items.

Edwardian Sterling Silver Antique Sugar Bowl by Charles Boyton & Sons Ltd. A very nice antique sterling Silver sugar bowl by Charles Boyton & Sons LTd 1908. The sugar bowl has a nice pie crust design outer rim, single border to the centre of the body and stands upon three cast and applied hoofed feet, hallmarks are as follows : CB & S for Charles Boyton & Sons Ltd who produced their silver from 1904-1937, lion for .925 purity of Solid Silver, leopard for handcrafted in London, date letter N for 1908. Condition: Excellent condition, displays very well, nice highly silver polish finish. Size 95mm wide x 65mm high. Weight. 66 gms. Nice collectable item by renowned Silversmith maker of the time.

Very rare cased Set of Antique Edwardian Solid Silver Seal End Apostle Spoons & Sugar Tongs by Josiah Williams & Co George Maudsley Jackson & David Landsborough Fullerton. The set comprises of six silver barley twist seal end apostle spoons and matching sugar tongs, fully hallmarked as follows lion for .925 purity of solid silver, leopard for made in London, England. Maker GJ over DF. Date letter k for 1905. The seal end apostle spoons are probably the most sought after as they are copies of the original 17th Century apostle spoons, to buy one spoon from the 17th Century would be in excess of £500 each spoon. The copies are still extremely rare and sought after. To the outside of the box is an embossed fan edge with gold trim, leatherette case, brass fastener and hinges, to the inside crushed silk lining to base and top with rope edge design, size of spoons & tongs 105mm each. Weight of all silver 87 gms. For the most part, these spoons were made individually Wealthy grandparents would buy one spoon representing a babies "apostle" and it would be their Christening present. This spoon would be used only by that person and it would be kept for life. The phrase "to be born with a silver spoon" stems from this tradition. I have seen that people are now engraving the babies names onto the back of the spoon for Christenings or Communion Presents. Extremely hard to find in this design.

To the inside top is royal blue silk padded lining and to the base is purple velvet. The six spoons are in mint condition free from any knocks and are un engraved. Superb Antique Edwardian Solid Silver Cased Salts Set by William George Hammon. Superb Antique Edwardian Solid Silver Cased Salts Set by William George Hammon. The salts are in superb condition, each salt has identical hallmarks which is WGH, date letter h for 1907. Anchor for Birmingham, Lion for .925 purity of Solid Silver. The spoons are made by William Hutton and Sons and date from the Victorian Era 1900. The outer case is in black leatherette with gold trim, to the inside to the top a padded royal blue lining, and to the base a velvet deep blue lining in which the salts sit in, becoming hard to find boxed sets of salts to this high standard the ribbon which holds the spoons in place is missing can easily be replaced. The box has a brass catch and hinges in working order. Size of box 185mm x 90mm x 65mm, salts 70m x 50 x 50. Weight of silver: 79 gms.

Edwardian Boxed Solid Silver Christening Set Mappin & Webb. Edwardian Boxed Solid Silver Christening Set Mappin & Webb. Superb boxed Christening set made by Mappin & Webb comprising of fork and spoon, superb Albert Pattern and feathered edge design running down to a nice wide finish. The box is made from a brown leatherette case, brass fastener hinged, to the inside is a white silk padded top layer and bottom liner is made of blue crushed velvet with silk rope edging effect. The fork & spoon are in mint condition and have a superb monogram to the end, overall a few cuff marks to the box and slightly loose catch, the fork and spoon and in mint condition. These items are now being engraved to the back of the bowl for christening or communion presents. Size of box: 180mm x 80mm x 30mm size of fork & spoon are 150mm long each, weight of silver only: 65 gms. Hallmarks are as follows: MW For Mappin & Webb, date letter m 1904, lion for .925 Purity of Solid Silver, and Crown for made in Sheffiled, England.

A very pretty three pronged serving meats fork, from the early Edwardian Period (Art Noveau). The Solid Silver handle as you can see is in fine condition with much embossed detailing remaining, the prongs are of silver plate, the reason being is that silver is a soft alloy and would bend when skewing meat hence the silver plated prongs. Becoming hard to find these serving forks. Hallmarks are as follows: Anchor for Birmingham, England. Date letter 3 for 1904 lion for .925 purity of solid silver, WV & S for William Vale & Sons who produced their silver from 1883 until 1919 from Unett Street, Birmingham, England. Condition: The handle is in superb near mint condition the three prongs have minute kinks to the end of one and some of the plate has rubbed from the prongs. A very nice antique serving fork. Size: 162mm long, widest point 35mm.

Superb petal shape design running down to a large pedestal foot, has a super highly polished silver finish, sits up a mahogany wooden base, nice large English Edwardian Rose Bowl, becoming hard to find in this shape, hallmarks are as follows: Date letter n for 1905, lion for .925 purity of solid silver, crown for Sheffield, England, R & B for maker Robert Belk who produced his silverware from 1803-1819, Furnival Works, Sheffield, also Stamped 6674 JBXS Stamped to the underneath. Size: 125mm high with base, excluding base 90mm high x 120mm wide. Weight of silver only excluding base 112 gms : Condition; slight knock to the pedestal foot and one or two tiny marks, nothing serious nice antique.

It is the oldest piece of the Regalia. Holy oil is poured from the Ampulla into the anointing spoon and the Sovereign is touched on the hands, breast, and the crown of the head. This is the most spiritual part of the ceremony and represents the confirmation of the peoples’ choice. The Anointing Spoons are replicas of the above and are produced for collectors.
